You will be offered a half-day program that includes the following attractions: Topkapı Palace, a Bosphorus cruise by boat, the Bosphorus Bridge (view from the Bosphorus), and Rumeli Fortress (view from the Bosphorus).
Topkapı Palace is one of Istanbul's main attractions and one of the most famous museums in the world. It was built in 1479 by order of Sultan Mehmed on the coast of the Sea of Marmara, and for 400 years, until the mid-19th century, the palace served as the main residence of the Ottoman sultans. The armory, harem, treasury, library, a collection of ancient manuscripts, and numerous pavilions are part of the palace complex.
A boat cruise along the Bosphorus Strait is one of the most exciting sea trips at any time of the year. On the picturesque shores of both continents, there are ancient fortresses, palaces, summer residences of the sultans, mansions, private villas, and parks. You will sail past the Maiden's Tower, around which many legends revolve; under the famous 1.5-kilometer-long suspension Bosphorus Bridge connecting Europe and Asia; and along the Rumeli Fortress, located on the European side of Istanbul. The fortress was built in 1452 and served as a protective shield at the entrance to the Bosphorus. You will also sail past the luxurious Dolmabahçe Palace, built in the 19th century.
